A move to G Suite for Business has transformed sales processes and reduced IT headaches for MDM Publishing Limited.

The Challenge

MDM Publishing, a fire protection and firefighting magazine publisher based in Yeovil, Somerset was experiencing problems with an outdated Microsoft setup that had started to cause problems daily.

Workstations were hanging on a daily basis and the team seemed to spend more time fighting IT fires than working; also, the IT support contract in place was growing uncomfortably large.

On top of this the company needed a better way to manage customer and contact information than the existing Outlook Business Contact Manager, which was unfriendly and difficult to use.

The Solution

MDM staff have been trained on both G Suite and Capsule and are now confidently using Gmail instead of Microsoft Outlook. Google Drive has introduced a welcome change to the way MDM manage company information. Documents are now stored in the cloud to be collaborated on and shared with customers – email attachments are a thing of the past. The sales and operational processes have been streamlined and the team have more time to sell.

The PCs that used to freeze almost daily are now running perfectly and the old IT support contract has been torn up, to be replaced by a much smaller one.
