Refractiv is delighted to announce that it has been successful in application for entry into the UK Government G-Cloud buying initiative.
G-Cloud is all about making it easier for suppliers and government to work together. The aim of the first phase of G-Cloud is to create a government marketplace of cloud services – which is called the Government Application Store.
As the name suggests G-Cloud is focused on cloud-based services – this includes public and private cloud. In the first phase invitations were sought from leading suppliers of: IaaS / PaaS and SaaS and services that relate to them such as data-migration, service integration. It is estimated that £60m worth of cloud solutions will be purchased through G-Cloud in the first six months of operation.
