Fume extraction specialist Purex International switched to Google Apps with Refractiv.

We’re delighted to announce that Purex International is the latest of our clients to migrate to Google Apps for Business.

By switching to Google Apps for Business, Purex has not only removed the dependency on Microsoft Exchange and in house Citrix servers but also now has access to ‘cloud-based’ collaborative working.

Through the use of Google Docs, Purex employees, both in the UK and in the USA and Canada, can create hosted documents – word processed, spreadsheets and presentations – and share them with colleagues and partners who can edit and comment simultaneously with other team members.

Google Mail lets Purex staff continue using Outlook, but also gives them the ability to access emails remotely and from a wide range of devices, such as Blackberry or iPhones. Purex have now been able to retire their Exchange server, saving a great deal of expense and stress.

“Migrating to Google Apps has allowed us to take control of our business’ technology, our systems are now streamlined, efficient and working for us. Google Apps has empowered my team to collaborate more effectively and given us reliable access to email, either using Outlook on office computers or webmail through our Blackberry’s when working on the road.”
