The OverDRIVE and G Suite Team are heading to London this week for the Next’ 18 event – a two day global showcase of the latest Google developments.
The G Suite team will have their listening ears on to discover more about innovations in the Cloud Platform and our OverDRIVE team will be spreading the word about some of the exciting new plans that are lined up for the product, including a great new drag and drop dashboard.
We are delighted to announce our new Microsoft OneDrive page type. Now you can embed files from your OneDrive account into your OverDRIVE site.
The page type is currently in Beta and will continue to improve. Currently you can embed Microsoft Office page types: Word documents (docx); Excel files (xlsx); and Powerpoints (pptx), plus OneNote and Images (jpeg, gif, png and more).
Smartsheet is a software as a service application for collaboration and work management. It can be used to track project progress, assign and monitor team tasks, manage calendars, share information on a project and lots more.
The OverDRIVE development team is busy creating integrations with popular cloud services – already launched are a series of integrations with Google, Microsoft and Smartsheet with more on the way. Until then, did you know that using Zapier opens up a world of integration possibilities for you?
OverDRIVE users can now sign in using a Microsoft account or simply choose an email and password. This new functionality allows you to really extend the reach of your OverDRIVE site by inviting users without a Google account to view your content. Used in combination with the new Access all Areas discovery mode, you can now make content available securely to hundreds or thousands of external users without the need for Google accounts.
We are pleased to announce the release of OverDRIVE version 3.3, rolled out on existing and new sites. This release includes the option to enable users to sign into OverDRIVE with a Microsoft account or using an email address and password, plus the beta version of a new page type: Microsoft OneDrive.
In case you missed it, one of the features we are most excited about in OverDRIVE version 3 is the ability to create pages using any file in Drive. All you need to do is add the file to your menu and – hey presto – it’s a web page!
